Mental Health Online Screenings

Welcome to Mental Health Screenings. These screenings allow you to assess yourself regarding either generalized anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The screenings ask basic demographic information from you and you then answer a series of questions to determine whether or not you have symptoms associated with any of the above concerns.

Mental Health Screenings are educational initiatives and all screenings are informational, not diagnostic. Screenings are anonymous and thus diagnosis and treatment recommendations are not provided. If this is an emergency or you are seeking treatment, please call CMHS at 860-486-4705.

Bibliotherapy

Often, when we struggle with difficult mental health issues, it helps to help to read about them. We can learn how others dealt with them, and can learn that we’re not alone in our struggles. The staff of CMHS has put together a bibliotherapy list that students could find useful. The list contains fiction and nonfiction alike. Selections are arbitrary—such a list could easily contain a thousand titles—but these are books we thought might be of special interest.
